Vendor registration is now open for the December Longview ArtWalk, scheduled for Dec. 10 in Downtown Longview.
Registration is free, but vendors are required to register for placement through a vendor form posted on the Arts!Longview website. Arts!Longview reviews vendor applications to ensure that items are original, handmade work that represents a variety of art mediums. Resellers are not permitted to participate as ArtWalk vendors.
ArtWalk is Arts!Longview’s signature event. Held four times each year in April, June, October and December, ArtWalk pairs local artists with downtown businesses in the hopes that people will visit downtown to experience local artists and local businesses. Artists set up inside businesses and along downtown sidewalks for ArtWalk.
“The December ArtWalk is always one of our most popular, as it is a great time for attendees to do some holiday shopping for locally made, one-of-a-kind items,” Arts!Longview Executive Director Christina Cavazos said.
Arts!Longview offers ArtWalk as a free community event. There is no vendor charge, giving artists of all ages and skill levels a chance to showcase their work. It is also free to attendees.
ArtWalk features a variety of makers and art forms, including visual arts such as painting or photography, bakers, musicians, jewelry artisans, local authors and makers of all kinds.
The December ArtWalk will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10, in downtown Longview. Vendor registration is open through Nov. 15. While registration is free, vendors are required to bring their own setup supplies, such as tables, chairs and display materials, to ArtWalk.
