The first sculptural “art” bench in the Arts!Longview Cultural District, Circlets Magnum Opus was designed by Holly Forbes. The imagery of the bench represents an artist’s palette.
Through art, this mural tells the history of Longview’s Train Depot at the historic Junction from its beginnings in the 1870s to its place in the modern world where it continues to serve as an Amtrak station and a cornerstone of the Longview Multimodal Transportation Center. This mural was created by Holly Forbes and the late Jason Butler. Griff Hubbard provided both historical context and accuracy to the mural.
In 2025, as part of the City of Longview’s rehabilitation of the downtown water tower located on High Street, Arts!Longview had the opportunity to create a new mural for the 1-million gallon elevated storage tank. Holly Forbes designed the artwork for the project. The artwork features imagery that celebrates the arts and the cultural identity of Longview.
Created by artist Cindy Debold, this sculpture features a young girl, relaxed and self-confident, balancing on one foot with her eyes closed. Debold said the sculpture is a visual metaphor of its title, in that maintaining a balance between health, family, work, and play is very important.
Created by sculptor Tom Gingras, this piece captures the moment of liftoff for the magical creature as one foot extends into the air while the other remains on the ground. In creating this sculpture, Gingras welded together bronze, copper, and steel to create this sculpture, which stands at more than 7 feet tall.
Designed and painted by muralist Zahckry Israel, this dual mural pays tribute to local lore. A mural on one side of the underpass depicts “The Green Street Monster” while a mural on the other side features the monster’s lair.
Designed and painted by Jamie Robinson of Palette Mural Designs, this mural is a celebration of the arts in Longview. It features imagery to represent visual art, symphony, theatre, and the symphonic band.
The artwork for the Colorful Lady installation is the original screen print of the same name by the late artist Jason Butler. The center mural in the triptych is a reproduction of Butler’s original screen print. The left and right murals were color manipulated by Holly Forbes, Butler’s partner at Forbes & Butler Visual Communication, to create an Andy Warhol-like effect. Each mural is 17 feet tall by 17 feet wide.
Designed by the late Jason Butler and painted by Jamie Robinson, the Enjoy the View mural was a collaboration between Arts!Longview and Downtown Longview to celebrate the city and the beauty of downtown.
The Unity Mural, which was painted by Dace Kidd, pays tribute to the late artist Anup Bhandari. Bhandari inspired the community with his dedication to the Healing Arts Project (a partnership with Newgate Mission) and through his book, “The Faces of Newgate.”
